商务英语专业召开24-25学年第一学期期中学生座谈会

外院网讯(通讯员 刘敏 邱辛欣)1126日中午,商务英语专业召开了本学期期中学生座谈会。外国语学院副院长冶慧颖、商务英语专业负责人欧秋耘、校级督导喻侯林、商务英语系主任孙玲燕、教研室主任刘敏、教师代表闫冰以及商务英语专业21222324级各班班委和学生代表参加了此次座谈会。本次座谈会旨在收集学生对课程设置、授课情况以及专业实践活动的反馈,以促进教学质量的提升和专业发展的优化。

座谈会上,各班班委积极发言,就当前课程设置的合理性、授课内容的实用性以及专业实践活动的丰富性提出了宝贵的意见和建议。学生们普遍认为,课程内容应更加贴近实际商务环境,增加更多模拟商务谈判和跨文化交流的实践机会。同时,对于授课方式,学生们希望教师能够采用更多互动式和案例分析的教学方法,以提高课堂的参与度和学习效果。

教师们认真听取了学生的反馈,并就如何改进教学方法、丰富课程内容以及加强专业实践活动与学生进行了深入交流。商务英语专业负责人欧秋耘表示,学院将认真考虑学生的建议,并在未来的人才培养方案中予以体现,以确保商务英语专业的教育质量与市场需求相匹配。

此外,座谈会还就如何加强校企合作、拓展实习渠道等议题进行了讨论。学生们对于能够参与到真实商务项目中表现出浓厚兴趣,希望能够通过实践提升自身的专业能力和就业竞争力。

Business English Department Holding Mid-term Student Forum

(Reporters Liu Min, Qiu Xinxin)  On November 26th, Business English Department held a student forum. Attendees included the Associate Dean of the Foreign Languages School, Ye Huiying, Head of Business English major, Ou Qiuqun, university-level supervisor Yu Houlin, Head of  Business English Department, Sun Lingyan, Director of the Teaching and Research Section, Liu Min, teacher representative Yan Bing, as well as the class committee members and student representatives from Grade 2021---2024 of Business English major. The purpose of the forum was to gather feedback from students on curriculum design, teaching issues, and professional practice activities to promote the improvement of teaching quality and the optimization of student cultivation.

During the forum, the class committee members actively spoke up, offering valuable opinions and suggestions on the rationality of the current curriculum, the practicality of the teaching content, and the richness of professional practice activities. The students generally believed that the course content should be more closely aligned with actual business environments, with an increase in simulated business negotiation and cross-cultural communication practice opportunities. Additionally, in terms of teaching methods, students hoped that teachers would adopt more interactive and case analysis teaching methods to enhance classroom participation and learning outcomes.

Teachers carefully listened to the students’ feedback and engaged in in-depth discussions with students on how to improve teaching methods, enrich course content, and strengthen professional practice activities. Ms Ou Qiuqun, stated that the school will seriously consider the students’ suggestions and reflect them in future talent training programs to ensure that the educational quality of the Business English major matches market demands.

Moreover, the forum also discussed topics such as how to strengthen school-enterprise cooperation and expand internship channels. Students showed a strong interest in participating in real business projects and hoped to enhance their professional abilities and employment competitiveness through practice.

The successful holding of this forum not only strengthened communication and understanding between teachers and students but also provided valuable first-hand information for the teaching reform and development of Business English major. The Business English teaching team will use this as an opportunity to continuously optimize teaching content and improve teaching quality.
