（通讯员：喻侯林 戴怡婷）为落实荆楚优师计划人才培养目标，夯实英语师范生教学基本功，打通高校职前培养与基础教育课堂实践的壁垒，2026年9月23日，外国语学院副院长冯婷、英语系主任胡波和英语学科教学论教师喻侯林、华丹丹带领25级英语优师班学生赴光谷实验中学（金融港校区），参加东湖高新区2026-2027秋季“课堂提质”初中英语主题教研活动，近距离观摩新课标理念下的初中英语优质课堂。
本次教研围绕人教版九年级上册 Unit 2 Inspiring People单元展开，华科附中张孟老师、光谷实验中学李雨轩老师分别带来语法展示课与词汇实践课。张孟老师执教单元 Grammar Focus 板块，以榜样人物为主题主线，依托袁隆平等榜样人物素材，遵循泛谈感知——内化语言——有效输出的学习路径开展语法教学。课堂从人物品质形容词输入入手，引导学生实现从叙事陈述到人物评价的思维进阶，最终以制作榜样推荐卡为输出任务，把目标语言知识学习与学科育人有机融合，充分体现英语课程工具性与人文性的统一。李雨轩老师带来单元词汇实践课，打破传统孤立背记单词的模式，践行 “语境感受——理解辨析——迁移运用” 教学逻辑。教师将重点词汇嵌入人物故事情境，设计梯度化练习任务，引导学生在语境中理解词义、掌握搭配，着力破解词汇识记与语言运用相脱节的教学痛点。
展示课结束后，“国培计划”教师代表、“武鄂同城”教师代表和高校专家代表分别开展评课研讨。嘉宾们在肯定两节课设计亮点的同时，也从课堂思考留白、分层教学实施等方面提出优化建议。25级英语优师班学生代表向谨阳同学也登台分享了自己的心得体会。东湖高新区教研员、外国语学院“行业导师”高娟围绕核心素养导向下的初中英语课堂提质路径做总结引领。
“走进真实的中学课堂，让我们直观看到新课标主题引领课堂如何落地。” 参与观摩的优师班同学表示，两节示范课为自己今后教学设计提供了鲜活范例，对主题意义引领、词汇语境化教学有了更加具象的理解。
外国语学院坚持高教——基教协同育人，依托光谷教师教育共同体平台，常态化组织师范生走进区域教研现场。通过教研观摩、课例研习，帮助师范生提前感知基层教学实际，树立核心素养导向的教学理念，在理论与实践对接中锤炼教学本领，助力学生成长为能够扎根湖北基础教育的合格英语教师。

——English “Excellent Teacher” Class of 2025 Participates in Junior High School English Themed Teaching and Research Activity in Donghu High-tech Zone
(Reporters: Yu Houlin, Dai Yiting) To implement the talent cultivation goals of the “Jingchu Excellent Teacher Program,” strengthen the basic teaching skills of English normal students, and bridge the gap between pre-service university training and classroom practice in basic education, on September 23, 2026, Feng Ting, Vice Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, Hu Bo, Director of the English Department, and Yu Houlin and Hua Dandan, instructors of English Pedagogy, led students from the English “Excellent Teacher” Class of 2025 to Guanggu Experimental Middle School (Finance Harbor Campus) to participate in the “Classroom Quality Improvement” junior high school English themed teaching and research activity for the autumn semester of 2026-2027 in Donghu High-tech Zone, where they observed high-quality junior high school English classes under the new curriculum standards at close range.
This teaching and research activity focused on Unit 2 “Inspiring People” from the PEP (People’s Education Press) English textbook, Grade 9, Volume 1. Teacher Zhang Meng from the High School Affiliated to HUST delivered a grammar demonstration lesson, while Teacher Li Yuxuan from Guanggu Experimental Middle School presented a vocabulary practice lesson. Teaching the Grammar Focus section of the unit, Zhang Meng took role models as the thematic thread, drawing on materials about exemplary figures such as Yuan Longping, and followed the learning path of “general perception — language internalization — effective output” in grammar teaching. Starting with the input of adjectives describing personal qualities, the class guided students to achieve cognitive progression from narrative statements to character evaluation, culminating in an output task of creating role model recommendation cards, organically integrating target language knowledge learning with moral education, and fully embodying the unity of the instrumental and humanistic nature of the English curriculum. Li Yuxuan’s vocabulary practice lesson broke away from the traditional model of isolated word memorization and implemented the teaching logic of “contextual perception — comprehension and discrimination — transfer and application.” She embedded key vocabulary in story contexts about the figures, designed graded practice tasks, and guided students to understand word meanings and master collocations in context, effectively addressing the teaching pain point of the disconnect between vocabulary memorization and language use.
After the demonstration lessons, teacher representatives from the “National Training Program,” teacher representatives from the “Wuhan-Ezhou Integration” initiative, and university expert representatives conducted lesson evaluation and discussion. While affirming the design highlights of the two lessons, the guests also offered suggestions for improvement from perspectives such as leaving room for classroom reflection and implementing differentiated instruction. Xiang Jinyang, the student representative from the English “Excellent Teacher” Class of 2025, also took the stage to share her reflections. Gao Juan, the teaching researcher from Donghu High-tech Zone and the “Industry Mentor” of our School of Foreign Languages, provided concluding guidance on pathways to improving junior high school English classrooms oriented toward core competencies.
“Stepping into a real middle school classroom allowed us to see firsthand how the new curriculum standards’ theme-based approach is implemented,” said students from the “Excellent Teacher” class. They noted that the two demonstration lessons provided vivid examples for their future teaching design, and gave them a more concrete understanding of theme-based meaning instruction and contextualized vocabulary teaching.
The School of Foreign Languages remains committed to collaborative education between higher education and basic education. Relying on the Optics Valley Teacher Education Community platform, it regularly organizes normal students to participate in regional teaching and research activities. Through research observation and lesson case studies, the school helps normal students gain early exposure to frontline teaching realities, establish teaching philosophies oriented toward core competencies, and hone their teaching skills by connecting theory with practice, supporting students in growing into qualified English teachers capable of taking root in Hubei’s basic education system.
